My Birthday wish is for everyone to plant more milkweed in their garden or surrounding areas. You could even designate a small area of your yard to a butterfly garden or sprinkle milkweed seeds In a nature preserve in your state. You could also talk to your local officials about creating a rain garden or pollinator garden in local parks in your area! Every little bit counts! The beautiful iconic Monarch butterfly has recently been placed on the endangered species list. If we don’t plant milkweed and other native pollinator plants, their numbers will continue to decline.
