Fitz fractured his ankle at school during recess.

As most of you know Fitz fractured his ankle at school during recess. We took him to cohen children's orthopedics where they put a cast on his foot for 4 weeks. He recently got the cast removed but the doctor said he didn’t need physical therapy or a boot afterwards. Is that normal to not have any support for his ankle afterward?
