Elsie De Wolfe, Dorthy Draper, and Carleton Verney are literally my favorite designers!!!!
Guys…. I am so excited right now! I literally walked into a antique shop as they were just about to put these amazing books up for sale! I spotted them and nearly lost my mind with excitement,Lol
. Elsie De Wolfe, Dorthy Draper, and Carleton Verney are literally my favorite designers!!!! It was destiny that this books fell into my hands! Elsie De Wolfe has connections to my house as well! She is a legend and was the first female interior designer ever! She has decorated many homes such as Coe hall. Elizabeth Marbury and Wolfe (who is the granddaughter of the Original owner of our house) were lovers and lived together in their brownstone in Manhattan during the early 1900s. Marbury was a successful screenwriter for Broadway (which is where Wolfe and Marbury met). No doubt Wolfe has been to my house several times. I have no evidence of this but judging from the wallpaper I’m pretty sure she decorated several of the bathrooms and parlor rooms in my house as well.

About Dorothy Draper and Carleton Varney… we’ll what can I say! They are my favorite designers. I love the bold use of color and how they embrace the use of color and mix match fabrics! Verney is the design genius behind The Westbury Hotel, The Colony Hotel, The Breakers, and The Brazilian Court, The Waldorf Towers and many more!! He is my absolute favorite!!! Varney Follows the suit of Dorthey Draper and incorporates her design aesthetic in all his work!
I’m such a fan of all three of them. To find all three of these books together is just amazing to me! I am literally on cloud nine right now!!! Lol

*also, google Elizabeth Marbury and Elsie de Wolfe to find out more about them! They were pioneers in the LGBT community!
